SGC Engineering, LLC acquired by Senergy Alternative Energy

We are pleased to announce that on July 27, 2010 SGC Engineering, LLC (SGC) was acquired by Senergy Alternative Energy, a division of diversified energy services company Senergy, an Aberdeen, Scotland based energy services firm (www.senergyworld.com). SGC will become a subsidiary of Senergy’s newly established US-based company, Senergy Alternative Energy Inc. (SAE).

SAE’s primary activities are in power transmission and distribution, carbon capture and storage, coalbed methane, geothermal, and wind power (onshore and offshore), having been involved in more than 50% of wind energy projects commissioned to date in the UK.

The acquisition represents a significant step forward for both companies, with Senergy bringing broad oil, gas and alternative energy experience to work alongside SGC’s experience in delivering solutions to utilities and independent energy project developers, particularly in power transmission and distribution, gas transmission and wind power developments. Importantly, this partnership also represents a union between two companies with similar and complimentary cultures and strategic focus.
